Two of our thirty-four students departed today, Caroline Binkley and Eden Halperin. Last night, after Harry Potter, the group took turns giving them hugs and promising to keep in touch.
We'll miss you guys!
Today the groups have gone to their morning classes, and in the afternoon the students will have the option of going to the pool, making a traditional Italian dessert, or taking free time. Then after our catered dinner this evening, we will be going to my favorite event of the year in Florence, the Festa dell'Unita', where all the vendors in the city gather at the Fortezza da Basso (if you look at a map of Florence, it's that funnily shaped fortress on the upper-left hand side). There is live music, ethnic food, 5 euro shiatsu massages, a night market, and dancing! Yay!
